Desktop Support

Here is a great opportunity to provide problem resolution for end-users by providing desktop support. The successful candidate will perform a variety of technical tasks, including maintenance, analysis, troubleshooting, and making repairs to computer hardware systems and peripheral equipment.

Essential Functions Include:
• Will support end-users on hardware, software, and network related issues.
• Will work on-site at the clients location and provide excellent customer service
• Resolve PC software configuration problems and may install entire software load or individual software products.
• Document user's problems through the use of an on-line problem management system including opening, updating, statusing, and closing problem tickets.

Qualifications include:

Responsibilities: This individual reports to the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer (CTIO) and is responsible for building and leading a high performance team dedicated to the design, development, and deployment of engineering projects. Requirements: A BS/BA Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required. A Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 7 years experience in developing hardware products & managing hardware development project plans is necessary. Broad understanding of the contract manufacturing industry and experience with circuit board and mechanical design is required. Familiarity with Sun and ATCA hardware and software is desired.
Previous experience with leading telecom equipment providers and/or computer equipment manufacturing firms (i.e., SUN, AMD, Intel, HP, Nokia, Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent) is required. Strong knowledge of the telecommunication, imaging, and/or medical industries is desired. Telecommunications or Defense industry experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Board level design experience is preferred. Successful candidates must have managed a team of 20 or more, and have a proven track record leading a team of engineers in the computer manufacturing industry with a focus in the high-end hardware sector. Proven customer management/relationship building experience must be demonstrated. International experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Strong communication/presentation skills, both oral & written, are essential for this position.
