Job Listing: Arc Welding Technician

Technician - Arc Welding We are seeking a high-energy, take charge individual to join our team as a Welding Technician. Under little supervision, this individual will perform qualification welding using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW processes according to various AWS specifications.

Essential Functions and/or duties:
• Following specific and general instructions produce high quality welds using supplied parameters which must pass nondestructive and destructive testing, and occasionally be witnessed by an auditing agency (CWB, ABS, etc.)
• Maintain accurate and legible records of welding parameters and measurements
• Interact with engineers and external customers to deliver desired results in a timely matter
• Work closely with other team members to accomplish welding operations
• Perform welding and post weld processing, grinding, material removal operations utilizing air and electric powered hand tools
• Maintain a clean and presentable working area

Required Skills, professional requirements and/or qualifications
• Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and/or situations
• Physical Demands – Employee will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift objects of up to 60 lbs.
• Work environment - exposed to a combination of office and warehouse environments
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and basic computing skills
• High School education or GED
• Formal welding training, either technical school or apprenticeship training
• 3-5 years of experience
• Certifications in GMAW, SMAW and GTAW are required
• Extensive pipeline welding skills
• CWI certification is desired
• Familiarity with automated welding systems is a plus but not required
